The Vice-Chancellor Professor Florence Obi is working to meet the sexual and reproductive health needs of students with the support of AIDS Healthcare Foundation Nigeria. A total of 50 peer educators from the various departments were trained in two cycles during a four days workshop that covered the key concepts of sexual and reproductive health and peer education.  Despite the lingering strike, 20 active virtual platforms (WhatsApp) are running with over 500 peer participants receiving preventive health messages and access to HIV and STI screening services.
